Home Warranties

Home warranties are very important. It can protect from problems that can occur in the future. A home warranty could cover your heating system, air conditioning system, plumbing and electrical system. Prior to purchasing any home warranty you should determine what is covered under the plan. Because all plans differ it is best to know up front what coverage you have. Coverage varies from state to state and from policy to policy so be certain to ask to see a sample copy of a policy before you commit.

Uniform Construction Code

Pennsylvania's statewide building code is called the Uniform Construction Code (UCC) and the State's pre-UCC requirements for commercial buildings. The UCC Administration and Enforcement regulation has adopted the codes for use throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania which went into effect on December 31, 2006. There are 2,563 municipalities located in Pennsylvania that have elected to administer the code and have hired private code enforcement agencies to enforce the UCC.
